Who are the students at Saint Yon?
In 2015 Saint Yon has an enrolment of around 220 students undertaking various models of Vocational Education, many of which choose to do more than one course in their pattern of study. These students come from 15 schools encompassing Marrickville, Kogarah, Sutherland and Revesby to name a few. All of these students have taken the opportunity to tailor their educational needs in their senior years by undertaking study in an area that suits their interests and puts them in a position for real job prospects.
The courses running in 2018 include:
Electrotechnology
Plumbing
Construction 240hr & Construction Specialisation
Automotive
Hospitality
All of these courses are available to students who wish to undertake these as a 240hr curriculum framework course as a part of thier current HSC study, or they can investigate the exciting possibility of tying this in with a School Based Apprenticeship. Many of the 220 participating students take the time to travel to Saint Yon each week to undertake weekly training, those that have decided to enrol directly into the trade training centre on a perminant basis have the opportunity to utilise the services of our dedicated staff at the centre to help realise the real job opportunities that can give them the head start on their Vocational Career NOW!
